The feed water heaters are an essential component of power plants, designed to pre-heat the water before it enters the steam-generating boiler. The preheating process reduces irreversibilities during steam generation, leading to improved thermal efficiency of the system. By reducing operating costs and preventing thermal shocks to the boiler, feed water heaters contribute to the overall performance and reliability of the power plant.
The Low-Pressure Heater is positioned between the condensate pump and the Boiler Feed Water (BFW) pump. It utilizes steam extracted from the Low-Pressure (LP) turbine to pre-heat the feed water. On the other hand, the High-Pressure Feed Water Heater is installed downstream of the BFW pump and utilizes steam from the high-pressure turbine as its heat source.
At Mega Fusion, we specialize in the design and manufacturing of shell and tube type Heat Exchanger's, employing three different constructions: Fixed Tube sheet, U-tube, and Floating Tube sheet. Our designs comply with ASME and TEMA specifications, ranging from single pass to multiple passes for enhanced heat transfer efficiency. We utilize advanced thermal analysis software, such as HTRI, to ensure optimal design and performance of our feed water heaters.
With our expertise in heat exchanger technology, we deliver reliable and efficient solutions that meet the specific requirements of power plants, contributing to their overall energy efficiency and operational effectiveness.
A significant amount of valuable energy is typically lost during the steam condensation process in Blow Down Tanks (BDT). To address this issue, we have developed an innovative solution known as Blow Down Heat Recovery Tanks. Our product effectively utilizes the waste heat from blow down to indirectly preheat furnaces, oil, or boiler feed water. This results in reduced steam consumption, lower electrical load, and decreased steam consumption in the deaerator. By harnessing this waste heat, our solution helps to minimize water loss and prevents the visibility of steam caused by blow down flash steam, thereby aligning with environmental regulations.
The Blow Down Heat Recovery Tank offers remarkable benefits, with a payback period as short as six months. It is feasible for boilers as small as 1TPH, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
In addition to Blow Down Heat Recovery Tanks, we also manufacture a range of other cooling equipment such as blowdown coolers, intercoolers, aftercoolers, air coolers, and gas coolers. These products are designed to meet the requirements of various original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Through our innovative designs and manufacturing capabilities, we strive to optimize energy efficiency and sustainability, while providing cost-effective solutions for our customers across different industries.
